Guides / New alliance members, please...
« on: March 04, 2014, 20:56:55 »
...introduce yourself in the "Introduction" board.  (http://wurmacademy.createaforum.com/introductions/)

In order to obtain access to the non-public areas ("The Academy Network", "The Academy") you must be a member of the "Alliance Member" group (containing academy villagers and villagers of all allied settlements). Please contact one of the forum administrators (Yaga or Serraphine) if you are an academy villager or a villager of an allied setlement and you feel you should be a member of that privileged user group.

Hi Brekir,

some items (like large chests, coffins and such) will appear on the ground after you create them. They can be moved around, but you can't pick them up and put them into your inventory like you would with a small chest, for example.

After the latest major update (1.2), however, there is a new function, we've all been desperately waiting for: the "load cargo" feature lets you load most of those big items on a cart or wagon, so at last they can be moved to another place. :)

Have fun
Yaragar

I acknowledge.

But I'm not sure anymore to join, because of the Account Types. It seems to be pointless to play this game for longer time. Please correct me if I fail with that.

I'm not sure what you mean. Can you elaborate? (There are players who play this game for 6 years and more.)

Okie Dokie!! let's get our game on :D
I shall be looking back to this guide often :) TY
Hi Lyliana,

welcome  to the game. I've been trying to meet you in-game in order to invite you, but didn't succeed so far. There are also the headmistress and any of the teachers who can invite you. Just ask around in local chat.

Hope to see you soon,
Yaragar

Soulhalo and Tevon, I see that you aren't villagers of the academy yet. Did you talk to people in local chat? Did you meet any of the teachers?

Hey Throgdor. Welcome to Pristine.

To be able to join the academy you should read and acknowledge the guidelines and rules (first post of this thread), please. Once you did that, Serraphine or myself will give you a village invitation. :)

How long have you been playing Wurm?

Registration Desk / "An error occurred" when trying to register?
« on: August 07, 2013, 13:55:36 »
If you receive an error when trying to register as a new user (No error message; just "An error occurred"), it is probably due to a previous username and password stored in your browser. (This will be the case if you already used this forum before.)

Please check the two fields on top of your screen. If they already display a username and a password your browser saved your previous login information. For some unknown reason the forum software refuses to register a new user in that case. Here is what you can do:

Go to the browser settings, find the list of saved passwords (usually under "Security") and delete all entries that contain "wurmacademy.createaforum.com". Now close your browser tab and open a new one. Loading the forum page now should leave the username/password fields empty. (If not, just delete them.) Now your registration should work!

Registration Desk / Forum Rules
« on: August 06, 2013, 09:10:30 »
These forums will not be heavily moderated and may contain content that some would find offensive. Use at your own risk.

That said, please abide by the following rules/guidelines to make for a more pleasant experience for everyone here.

  • Post polite. Post as if it were your mum you were replying to. Unless you dislike your mother, in which case pick any other close friend and use them as your reference instead.
  • Don't post topics or replies that are likely to incite emotional reactions in people. No racism, no gay-hate, no religious intolerance etc.
  • Don't spam and refrain from posting comments that add nothing to a conversation. TL;DR, +1, ur idea sux, etc etc.
  • Don't post or link to illegal or offensive material, illegal sites etc.
  • Respect other people's opinions, even if you don't agree with them. We all have the right to be individuals.
Short list. Light moderating. Play nice!!

When you register on this forum and choose a forum name, please use the name of your in-game character, in order to be easily recognized!

The following access rules apply:

- "Guests" (non-registered users) will only be able to read posts in the "Registration Desk"
- "Registered Users" will be able to read/write in the "Public Area"
- "Wurm Users" will be able to read/write in the "Wurm Online" Area.
- "Pristine Alliance Members" will be able to read/write in "Pristine: The Academy Network" and the "Wurm Academy Affairs"
- "Pristine Mayors" will be able to read/write in "Mayors' Corner: Pristine"
- "Xanadu Alliance Members" will be able to read/write in "Xanadu: Far Far Away"
- "Mayors" will be able to read/write in "Mayors' Corner: Xanadu"

To be added to the "Alliance Member" group you must be a villager of the Academy or any allied settlement and be admitted by a forum administrator (Yaga or Serraphine). You will be added to the Mayor group once your deed has been verified.

Registration Desk / How to obtain full access to forum boards
« on: August 06, 2013, 08:57:48 »
After having registered you are automatically added to the "Registered users" group. As a registered user you have access to the Public Area only.

As a new alliance member, PLEASE introduce yourself in the "Introduction" board.  (http://wurmacademy.createaforum.com/introductions/)

There are also two special user groups: "Senior" for approved senior members (usually academy teachers and scholars) and "Mayor" for mayors of allied settlements. Please contact one of the administrators for more information.

To become a registered user, just click on the "Register" button. You will be prompted for a user name, a password and an email address. Please use your ingame character name (the name of your character on Pristine) as your username - this will make your identification easier for other forum users.

After filling in and sending the registration form you will receive an email with an activation link. Click this link to activate your account. (Please make sure that you enter your correct email address in the registration form.)

If you don't receive the activation email after an hour, check your spam folders.

Thanks Serra - this was long overdue :)

Just a small correction: The mine is North East of the token, not North West. (I already corrected that in the cafeteria thread.)

I'll check the rest later and see if I can think of any additions. Good job!!
