Dear guest,

welcome to the forums. These forums are related to Wurm and the Allaince we have on Wurm servers. it is also the home forum of “The Wurm Academy”. The Wurm Academy is a place on the island of Pristine, dedicated to help new players take their first steps in the wonderful world of Wurm Online.

The Wurm Academy was first introduced in December 2012 by Joel in this forum post: The Wurm Academy.“The Wurm Academy is a village on Pristine for everyone, new and old, to join. The goal is to introduce and integrate newcomers into the Wurm community, helping people turn questions into answers. This will be a village that everyone is welcome to come and go from as they wish, with the reasonable limitations of the game mechanics and bans on griefers and their likes, since no one wants to play with someone that just likes to destroy and ruin.”

The Wurm Academy Blog contains information about the history of the Wurm Academy.

Best explanation I have seen on healing covers so far.

Damage:

•48/3= 16 damage per 'tick'

Healing:•Base Regen rate = 5

•Bandage = 1

•10 Power HC = 10

so in your example you are taking 16 damage a tick and healing 16 damage a tick. Maybe there was some rounding going on to cause the slight shift towards healing a bit more. There is also speculation that 'bruises' will not cause as much damage which is what I would guess happened here to give you the slight healing.

You can calculate it out usually and see the results. If you ask in chat players will tell you "any med wound needs a hc" but that is not in fact the case. You only need to heal more than you take damage per tick, which some meds can be done with a bandage only. (it will just be slow healing)
